H&M STUDIO COLLECTION AW18
Cult series inspires H&M Studio Collection AW18
This year’s autumn/winter studio collection of H&M is inspired by the American mystery cult series Twin Peaks from the 90’s, directed by David Lynch. The looks from the series are influenced by the fashion of the 50’s and 90’s, for instance the classic high-waisted pants, oversized cardigans and trench coats, androgynous suits or pleated skirts – as seen on film icons of the 50’s.
I love collections with a story and I love interpret these stories my own way. So my team didn’t left this shoot by coincidence. The look, make up, hair, props and location was carefully though out to create the 50’s and 90’s vibe and be still Hashtag by Lily.
The collection is available in store on September 6.
90s CULT SERIES TWIN PEAKS
The American television series Twin Peaks is a mix of mystery and horror drama created by directors David Lynch and Mark Frost. Its pilot episode came out on April 8 of 1990.
Protagonist of the story is Special Agent Dale Cooper (played by Kyle MacLachlan) who is investigating for the FBI into the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer (actress Sheryl Lee) in the fictional suburban town of Twin Peaks, Washington. The series includes supernatural elements and is distinguished by surrealism, offbeat humour and distinctive cinematography.
