It seems like a few weeks ago that I was in London! I didn’t have the chance to share some personal pictures (taken by the phone) with you. This time of the year is so lovely to be in the (big) cities such as London, as the festive spirits comes to life with all the lights, music and nice decorations around town! I sure had a great time in this beautiful city!
One of our first stops: Harrods
First things first: COFFEE! Unfortunately I cannot function without (only one or two per day though)
Christmas spirit in London to the fullest!
We did not do any outfit shoots during this trip, but here you see one of my outfits that I wore:
sweater: Zara / jeans: Zara / scarf: Topshop / boots: Isabel Marant x H&M / coat: Alexander Wang / belt: Isabel Marant x H&M / bag: Chanel
Covent Garden was one of my favorite areas this time. The (Christmas) ambiance, the apple market, restaurants, boutiques and the discovery I made (lol)!
Okay.. I think that this is THE biggest discovery that I have made in London! As I was totally obsessed with Shake Shack in New York, I did not know they have opened one in London! I went WILD when I saw this restaurant and I couldn’t believe it! Their burgers are sooooo good, especially the one with the portobello mushroom! If you ever have the chance to eat a burger here, you should definitely try it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Enough choice at ‘The Pie Shop’
The stables market at Camden town is another cool place to be in London. You can almost find everything in this market and only for the culture it is worth a walk there! I did not do any research beforehand, so I had no idea that I was walking through a former horse hospital. But I can say that it made a big impression on my trip. This is my second favorite place I visited, after the Shake Shack discovery ;)
Here you find cute boutiques with unique things. I could see a lot of Asian influences in this market, such as Indian jewelery, Balinese wooden handcrafted art, Asian clothings, but also alternative cultures like goth. Aside from the boutiques, there are a lot of choices of cuisines with delicious food.
We were determined to find a place to have an afternoon tea. Funny, I know this concept in The Netherlands under the name of ‘high tea’, but apparently that refers to a different type of meal. Anyhow, we found one at the Brown’s Hotel and luckily we could go without any reservations. Everything on the plates were YUMMY!! They served the best scones I ever had!
Another quick outfit picture:
shirt: Fashaves / skirt: Zara (old) / coat: Alexander Wang / boots: Isabel Marant x H&M
Before the flight back
Bagel breakfast before we were heading to the airport.
Getting ready for JT’s concert here while I was waiting for my flight back.
That’s it! Four days of London. Thanks for reading again! Tomorrow a new outfit post. Enjoy your day! X
