Hi guys! I am writing a post in the air again. Gosh.. I was already missing Mexico a few days ago, while I was still there! Funny how I never miss home when I am away with my boyfriend, wherever we are. We always have that wanderlust, of exploring the world and make that place our little home for that moment in time. I easily get attached to places where we have been and Mexico was no different!
I have been living in The Netherlands all my life. If there is one thing that I regret, is never took the opportunity to study or to have an internship abroad. Now, I have been traveling as much as I could since a young age. Saving money each year to go on one big vacay of a few weeks and a few mini city trips here and there. I have met so many lovely people along the way, with many new insights that have broadened my own open-minded world.
Anyhow, it is very clear that I love to travel. I think I share this love with all of you, right?! Don’t get me wrong, I do love living in The Netherlands. Nevertheless I always had the dream to move to some place else some day. It doesn’t have to be forever, maybe for just a few years. I have been thinking about Singapore, America and Hong Kong for a while now. I cannot really decide which one though, but maybe I want to live in all of them for some time. Let’s see what opportunities my life will bring to have the chance to live this dream. Like they always say “dream big” right ;)
Well, back to my ‘home’ Mexico, which it was for the last 10 days. We went to Xel-Ha the other day, a natural aqua park. Such a genius concept of how the park is adjusted to its natural environment. I had a blast, snorkeling in both sweet and salt underwater worlds, chilling on a rubber band along the river, reading my book with a beautiful scenery, exploring the jungle with cenotes and hikes, eating and drinking since it is all-inclusive and finally relaxing on a hammock from the active day. I don’t think you can get bored in this park. Here are some pics to showcase this fun day at Xel-Ha and my OOTD of course.
Moreover, I have been really busy lately to present ‘Hashtag by Lily’ to the enormous blog world. So you have no idea how thrilled I was, when another (Dutch) blogger Lauren, from the blog ‘LaChanna’, recognized me on the other side of the globe. It was the first time that someone recognize me from my starting blog (whoehooo :D). I am really happy that we have found each other there and we are buddies ever since!
Even though I am (almost) home already, I still got a few more awesome Mexico posts for you in store. If I only knew that Mexico had so much to offer, I would have gone there much sooner. I am sure I will return to this place again some day. As for now, I can only smile and look back at the most perfect little get-a-way I could ask for. I hope you like my travel journey so far! Stay tuned for more adventures the coming days!
