Two days of Amsterdam Fashion week has flown by. As Zalando reporters, Larissa and I, were up for the task to give you the insiders look of this fashion season. I stayed up until 4 o’clock last night to edit the complementing video of this day, but somehow my iMovie decided to quite. So I will make 1 big video for tomorrow, where I will show you two days of Fashion fun from Larissa’s and my perspective!
We checked-in at the new INK hotel in the center of Amsterdam. It’s a super cool hotel, which I will tell you about next week in a separate hotel article (here). Zalando and Make up Studio spoiled us with gifts to welcome us.
Tony Cohen fitting
We had a fitting appointment at Tony Cohen to wear something from the collection to his fashion show.
Outfit of the day
OOTD for the opening’s night of Amsterdam Fashion Week. This look is inspired by the street style of Japan last October. I will share all the details soon on the blog with all the links. The dress, socks and sunglasses are from Zalando!
Zalando Fashion House; Zyanya Keizer
The fashion party started for us at the Zalando Fashion house with great music, drinks and fashion. Here we had the chance to speak with the very kind and humble Zyanya Keizer who would present her newest haute couture collection the next day. Witnessing her master piece was really spectacular to see it from up close (the photo below). She said she had worked on this piece for 6 months straight! This collection was inspired by albinism in Africa and especially the repression of albinos in Tanzania. Every piece is very unique with a story behind, Zyana is a true artist for sure.
There are more down town events like this, where everyone can attend, check it out here: https://www.zalando.nl/zalando-presents-10-days-downtown/

Boohoo Instagram takeover
I had another fun project during Fashion week. I was asked to takeover Boohoo’s Instagram account (@boohooofficial) to share some insiders shots every day. This was my very first upload with many more to come.
Show 1: Aziz Bekkaoui
The opening show of Fashion Week. The British flag was the core of this collection. The show had a special guest on the catwalk, the Dutch rapper Yes-R. The most surprising about this show was the strong finale walk with ALL the models at the same time. (Photo credits to Team Peter Stighter.)
Show 2: Monique Collignon
Monique Collignon knows how to give a show (check out in the video tomorrow). The haute couture pieces on the elegant dancing models are still imprinted in my mind. I know you normally only see these kinds of haute couture in magazines, but I saw pieces that I wouldn’t mind wearing for a shoot on the blog ;) (Photo credits to Team Peter Stighter.)
